Dr. Pearson grew up in Dubuque, Iowa. He attended Luther College in Decorah, IA where he attained a BA with a major in biology and minors in chemistry and Spanish. Following undergrad he moved on to medical school at Des Moines University where he graduated with a dual degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Masters of Healthcare Administration. He did his OB/GYN residency at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills Michigan. He began practice in the Grand Valley in 2005 and joined WHC in 2008.
He has served in a variety of administrative roles over the years but enjoys much more to be focused on practicing medicine.
Medically he enjoys all aspects of OB/GYN but has specific interests in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, pelvic prolapse, transgender medicine, and high risk obstetrics.
Personally he is a parent to two wonderful children, enjoys working on his house and old cars and motorcycles, both cross country and downhill skiing, he is learning to sail, and enjoys dabbling in music and art.
